Family Ties by Jimmy Santiago Baca

This poem talks about how they are having a family gathering and only one family doesn't belong in that family gathering.
While the others were having a barbecue, one family go hiking.
I can tell this by reading the line "I feel no love or family tie here".
I also think that the word barefooted is significant because it seems like that the person that is an outcast is barefooted.
That one family poorer than others, so it seems like the barefooted explains that he doesn't have a fancy shoes on which indicates that they are poor.
